DUKE (Adopted)
Duke arrived in August from Hutchinson, Kansas. He is a two plus year old intact male that was an owner surrender because he would not hunt. He has field English breeding and probably some mix of Golden Retriever. He's laid back but needs a yard to run in. Duke is affectionate and a bit "soft."
Current on shots, heartworm negative, weighs about 42 lbs. and is presently fostered in Colorado Springs. Crate broke but not sure yet on whether he is house broken.
FRESCO (Adopted)
Fresco arrived in August from Hutchinson, Kansas. He is a 4-1/2 year old intact male that was found as a stray. He is field English, Blue Belton, and active. Would do best with female dogs, but questionable on another male dog. Needs a yard to run in and appears to have had some obedience training. He is affectionate and wants to belong.
Current on shots, heartworm negative, weighs about 41 lbs. and is presently fostered in Colorado Springs. Crate broke, but not yet sure on whether he is house broken.
DASH (Adopted)
Dash is a neutered young male and is estimated to be around 10 months old. He's housebroken and he gets along with all the dogs. He loves to play and will actually entertain himself. He loves hard rubber toys. He is very birdy but it is not known if he has received any bird training. He looks to be field and bench breeding.
Dash was pulled from the Adams County Humane Shelter here in Colorado. As far as we know he is very healthy. He loves to pick up things and drag dog bedding, towels, and sheets out of the house into the kennel. He's very friendly, confident and loves to give and get attention.
PONTO (Adopted)
Ponto is a neutered male and is estimated to be about 8 years old. He was given up by his owners in Durango, Colorado when they moved.
He's healthy and active, slowing down at times. It appears that he may have had some obedience training as he does respond to recalls. He's housebroken, birdy, gets along with all the dogs, and craves affection. He loves people.
Please ... somebody, adopt this beautiful senior dog!
KATHY (Adopted)
Kathy is a spayed female and estimated to be around 8 months old. She came to All Setter Rescue from Oklahoma City after being rescued and pulled from a shelter by Diane. She is very birdy and quite the runner and jumper. She sailed over a 3' barricade with ease that kept the dogs out of a small portion of Diane's yard. She will need a very secured yard.
Kathy is current on vaccines, is HW negative and is negative for tick borne disease. She has tons of energy, amuses herself chasing and pointing bugs, flies, and any small object that moves. She is responding to her name and toy boxes with stuffies and chew toys are really a hit with her.
Kathy gets along with all the dogs. She does not make a ruckus in her crate, and there have been no accidents in the house. She's just a sweetheart needing a forever home.
MAX (Adopted)
Max is a neutered young male from Wichita, Kansas and is estimated to be around a year old.
He is really very small and a little on the shy/soft side. He is coming along nicely with housebreaking but still needs further training.
He is somewhat intimidated by the larger dogs here but he seems to be holding his own. He has not yet learned how to play and would probably show more affection in a less crowded and less competitive home situation.
We are looking for a permanent adoption or foster home that would work with helping Max gain some confidence because he is such a sweet boy.
WESLEY (Adopted)
Wesley is a neutered young male and is estimated to be around 18 months old.
He was found running at large with a fishhook in his mouth. He was pulled from a shelter in Arkansas (where he spent one month) by Karen and transported to Colorado by a wonderful rescue team.
Wesley is current on vaccines and housebroken. He loves dogs and wants to play all the time. He quickly learned that a crate was not another long ride in a Van and now enters them on his own to crash after a hard play. He is on the quiet/sensitive side with humans but has been gaining confidence everyday.
Wesley needs a home with other dogs and one where he can really relate to the kindness of humans. He is a beautiful boy and I am getting very attached to him.
NEMO (Adopted)
Nemo is an intact young two year old and a very bright tri-colored bench/field type male.
He will be neutered/or neutered by his adopted family. He gets along with all the males and females here and loves attention.
He loves to snuggle. Nemo has the run of the house. He's a little shy at first with new things and then adapts quite well.
